There's dirt on my toothbrush....

Anyone who knows me at all knows I'm kind of "granola". I am not as health conscious as I would like to be though. I sometimes buy food that isn't organic, we eat fast food when we travel, I use makeup and personal care products with questionable ingredient lists. Making the switch to a healthy lifestyle is a work in progress, and I'm the first to admit that we have a ways to go. In my ongoing search of new and "healthy" switches to make in our home I came across something that makes me wonder if I've gone a bit far.

EARTHPASTE

It's not as bad as you might think.

We got the peppermint flavor, and it's actually kind of nice. It has a short ingredient list, just Redmond clay, essential oils, salt, and xylitol. It doesn't get much more natural than that! This stuff works really well, it gives me that "just went to the dentist" feeling but it doesn't foam like regular toothpaste. I'm going to try to make my own version when I run out because this ain't cheap! It's something like six dollars a tube, depending on where you get it. I got mine online from Swanson health.

The downside to this toothpaste is that it's grey. It looks like an earthworm on your toothbrush.
